‘Churches Together’ is an informal association offering services as a resource to all the English-speaking churches in the Brussels region. We warmly welcome all churches wishing to participate in development, planning and promotion of initiatives and invite them to nominate their own representatives.
Our vision is that all Christian Churches may work together in fellowship, harmony and purpose, as Jesus prayed,*
“That all of them may be one… so that the world may believe that you sent me.” John 17:21 (NIV)
To seek a deepening of members’ communion with Christ and with one another in the Church, which is his body.
To fulfill our mission to proclaim the Gospel by common witness and service in our environs and in the world.
For church members: –
To raise their awareness of the people in other denominations who share the same allegiance to Jesus Christ that they may welcome fellowship with them.
For society at large: –
To raise awareness of the strength, relevance and central truth of shared belief within the diversity of the Christian Church.
To combine for specific outreach such as Alpha Courses.
To create greater impact with jointly sponsored events and initiatives.
To be a resource to help churches to increase the scope of their initiatives and the impact of their witness.
*Together in Christ
Jesus prayed, “My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one—I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me. John 17:20-23 More

This website is being developed to serve the churches and make their existence known to those seeking information and to promote activities and share news with a wider audience. It is also intended to be a resource for Pastors and church members, providing a directory of all the English-speaking churches and ministries and other helpful information. Contributions from the Christian community to help build an inspirational and useful bank of such material will be very welcome.
